A West Coast Debut For A Canadian Denim Brand
Project overview
DUER was crossing a border. After building a loyal following in Canada, the denim brand was launching its first California store — and its first step onto the West Coast. They needed a photo campaign that didn't just show the product, but rooted the brand in the lifestyle, landscape, and energy of its new home. We were brought in to create the visuals that would introduce DUER to Los Angeles.
Project process
We built the campaign around a simple idea: make DUER feel like it already belonged in California. Working from iconic LA landmarks and lifestyle settings, we shot on-location throughout the city — blending a newer editorial look for DUER with the effortless, lived-in feel of the West Coast. Every frame was designed to do double duty: social scroll-stoppers, print-ready hero shots, in-store visuals, and email campaign assets, all pulled from one cohesive shoot.
Final result
DUER's first California store launched successfully, carried by a campaign that lived across social, print, in-store, and email. The client was thrilled with the final library, and the imagery gave DUER a grounded, local-feeling launch in a brand-new market — introducing the brand to the West Coast with the look and feel of a company that had always been there. “Very well done. How much does a project cost?
Every project is quoted for your unique needs and the scope of work to fulfill those needs. Most content projects start at $5k. Brand Therapy/Brand Builds start at $10k. Website Design & Development start at $10k. But reach out, let's talk about the outcomes you need and the scope to bring those outcomes to life.
What is Brand Therapy?
Brand Therapy is our done-with-you brand strategy intensive — a focused brand workshop (in-person or virtual) where we sit down with founders and teams to tear a brand apart and identify what's working, cut what isn't, and map out who the brand is becoming. We dig into identity, voice, audience, messaging, vision, and visuals — and walk away with the clarity, direction, language, and visuals needed to build everything else on top of. It's the foundation every brand, website, and campaign is built on. We truly believe most business problems are deeply rooted brand problems just waiting to be solved.
What can I expect after I inquire?
We will get back to you asap about your inquiry and slot you in Joey's or Christy's calendar. On our discovery call with you, we will lead you through a no-pressure convo about what the oppotunity is you are going after and what type of partnership you need to make it happen. After our initial discovery call, we can collectively make a decision if working together is a homerun.
What is our average turnaround time?
Photo & video campaigns = > 7 Days Brand Builds (Visual & Narrative) = specific to each client but each update is a 3-5 day turnaround. Goal is under 30 days for full-scale brand builds. Website Builds = 21 Day Process with updates every 3-5 days. UI UX = reach out to chat. Product Design = Reach out to chat.
What happens if I need a revision?
Revisions are part of building great deliverables. While most of our clients have few to no revisions due to our onboarding / pre-production and design process, we love doing live video call revision sessions to save everyone time and produce a better end product.
Why would I hire Speers Collective vs an in-house employee?
We get asked this all the time. Great question. In-house photogs, filmmakers, designers and strategists are massively valuable to your team. The problem is finding that talent is challenging and expensive. Partnering with us is typically more cost effective, delivers better work and in a timeline most in house employees can't hit. Do you offer payment plans or phased billing?
Yes! We offer payment plans. For larger multi-month projects, we bill in phase by phase structures.
